Sketchbook Update: Inktober 2015, Day 31

Hipster Frankenstein

I squeaked in one last ‪#‎Inktober‬ drawing just under the wire. I drew this late Halloween night after putting the kids to bed and sugaring myself up on some leftover candy.

I managed to do 23 drawings during Inktober. Not bad considering my busy freelance schedule. Plus I got to experiment with a few brushes and styles and stretch my humor muscles a little. I’m hoping I can keep being more active in my sketchbook as the holiday season approaches. Looking forward to Inktober 2016!

We’re in the final stretch of Inktober!

Doing a drawing a day for an entire month is a big challenge. It’s easy to run out of steam after a couple of weeks. To help encourage you to finish out the month, I’ve marked down the Pose Drawing Sparkbook, Expanded Edition (ebook). It’s now 50% off (was $15.00, now only $7.50) from now until the end of October 2015. The Sparkbook includes hundreds of drawing prompts as well as six mini-chapters of tips and info designed to inspire you to put more life and personality into your drawings.

I hope this helps you finish Inktober with a bang!

Based on a prompt from the Pose Drawing Sparkbook that reads, “I just heard the funniest joke…” I was listening to some Louie Anderson stand-up while I drew this, which also helped.

You can get a free download of Inktober drawing prompts from the Pose Drawing Sparkbook here. No strings attached.
